Visitor Review:

Just returned from a 5 day mini vacation to the bay area. My daughter had stayed at Embassy Suites in Walnut Creek about 3 years ago for a volleyball tournament. She had loved it then and we had only seen the lobby as we picked her up. My understanding is that they remodeled the hotel since then and it is fabulous.

The rooms were wonderfully appointed with a fold out sofa (although my teenage daughter and her best friend felt it was average for a fold out sofa), dining table and mini bar in the living area. The king bed was comfortable and we had enough bedding for everyone without having to ask for more. The layout of the hotel is good as is the cooked to order breakfast every morning. The work out area and indoor pool is small but clean and enjoyable.

The hotel is easy to reach off Hwy 680. Although there is no off site restaurant within easy walking distance, it is a short distance by auto to the diverse restaurants of downtown Walnut Creek not to mention the shopping available at Sun Valley Mall.
If you want to go into San Francisco, the BART station is just across the street from the hotel and the staff are knowledgeable about how to get to the attractions.

Service was excellent. The one time we asked for extra towels, they were brought up within minutes. The only draw back was the mandatory valet parking which adds $16 per day. However, our car was brought out to us in a minutes notice and considering the excellent security of the hotel, we felt this was appropriate.

We had read a few comments on the hotel websites about hearing noice from the BART or the freeway. We never heard anything and I tend to be a very light sleeper.

All in all, one of the best deals around the Bay area and a central location for exploring Vallejo, San Francisco and San Jose. Will definetly stay here again.
