This property isn’t like the the other Embassy Suites I’ve stayed in. It’s obviously an older hotel, probably purchasd by Hilton and rebranded. They are in the process of remodeling all the rooms (Nov 07), and I believe I had a completed room because it was very nice. It was rather messy here during the work, with two elevators closed, boxes stacked outside doors, and lots of workers all around making noise during the day.

Overall a nice place, but not the “new” Embassy Suites hotel I’m used to.

I was a bit aprehensive after reading the earlier reviews for this hotel. Fortunately, all the problems stated by previous travelers have been solved.

The rooms are freshly renovated, the staff was superb and friendly, happy to go the extra mile for any request.

Breakfast was lovely and the line wasn’t horribly long.

I enjoyed my stay and reccomend the hotel to anyone passing through San Antonio on business.

Just got back from a three day business trip to McAllen, Tx and stayed at the Embassy Suites.
The place was perfect. Literally 3 minutes from the airport.
Check in staff was prompt and friendly.
The rooms are huge. Two seperate rooms. One, a living room with a mini kitchen and TV and the other a big bedroom.
The beds were not the most confortable I’ve slept in but they were OK.
The bathroom was big and the best part was the shower pressure.
The price of the room includes a full buffett breakfast which was delicious.
I would definetely go bak to this property and recommend it to anyone.

I stayed at the Embassy Suites during a business trip to the Lubbock area. I’m so glad I did. I don’t get the chance to stay in many Embassy Suites when I travel, so I felt rather pampered for this trip.

The room was great: spacious, clean, cozy and with a flat panel TV. The bed was comfortable, and in the quiet environment, I slept like a log.

Breakfast, in true Embassy Suites fashion, was filled with bountiful selections.

The staff was friendly, and all of them always looked very professional, especially the young man manning the front desk when I checked in. Crisply dressed in suit and tie, he gave off a business-like air, but was very welcoming.

I loved the fitness center, which had individual TVs on the elliptical trainers. I could plug into the Cartoon Network while I worked out without irking everyone else in the room. Nice.

You can guess where I’m going to stay the next time I come into Lubbock.

We come to Laredo at least once a month and this is the first and last time we will stay at the Embassy. I like Embassy because of the size of the room and the free breakfast, but we had ton’s of problems.

First of all, I have to agree with what other people have written about the lack of concern or service attitude at the front desk. They never smiled, just demanded credit card, no directions to the room, no conversation with us at all. Never made eye contact!!!!!!!!!!!!

We got to the room and it had not been cleaned. I called the front desk and no one answered the room. We came back to the desk and we were told to stay in the room and “somebody would get to us eventually.” I had to prepare for a meeting later in the day, so they finally agreed to move us. The second room had been cleaned but not very well. We found trash in the trash can from a previous guest, dirty wash cloth on the door knob in the room and hair all over the tub and floor. I called the General Manager several times, but never received a call back. I asked that housekeeping be sent in again to clean the room, it never happened. My wife eventually got down on her hands and knees and cleaned the tub and floor.

The complimentary breakfast was not very good. Many of the items were either cold or had run out all together. No one was bussing tables, so the dirty dishes were just stacked up on the other tables. It was not a very pleasant environment.

The kicker came at check-out. I was supposed to have the government rate but instead they had charged me almost $200.00 extra. No one at the front desk was able to fix the overcharge. It has been a week now since we checked out, and I still can’t get the charge reversed, so I will have to dispute it with my credit card company. Several calls to the General Manager have not been returned.

Do yourself a favor. stay somewhere else!!!!!!!!!!!

Was here for a business meeting overnight near the airport. It is very comfortable for such a meeting — hotel looks a little dated, but it’s very clean and the staff is very good. Rooms include a dry bar, with refrigerator and microwave, conference style desk table with two chairs and a speakerphone (which we used), and a back bedroom with a large bed. Atrium is a good meeting place for free breakfast and drink at end of day included with this brand. Atrium has a large central water feature and plastic and real plants, which all of the rooms face, and it does provide a comfortable place to gather. Meeting facilities themselves are average but useful and staff kept the coffee hot. Restaurant we only used for lunch before going back to airport but I was very impressed when we mentioned we didnt have a lot of time that the manager came by and ensured we got in and out in the 40mins we had. Front desk staff gave us a free 2pm late check out when a conference call need came up unexpectedly too. Hotel also has a 2 free internet computers with a printer in the business center (which we used to rebook flights and print boarding passess). Location of hotel is in a new spaghetti of ribbons of freeway and you need to be very clear with taxis that it’s the ES in Irving at DFW SOUTH, as there is another ES north of the airport and you could end up increasing the $35 cab fare back from downtown Dallas to $50 if you accidentally go around the airport the wrong way. Overall a good clean airport-convenient hotel which I’d recommend if it fits your needs. It has a very comfortable not new but clean feel that’s difficult to describe but it worked for everything I needed and I enjoyed my stay.

We arrived in Texas on the first weekend in April for my sister’s wedding. We always stay at Embassy Suites Hotels whenever possible, so we noticed that this one was in the area we needed to be in, and also a stone’s throw away from the amazing Galleria Mall. I am very picky about my hotels, and I did not see the problems that we encountered as too much of a hassle. We were assigned a room on the top floor, where the Hilton HHonors members stay (it says it on the sign). Our room had a wonderful view! But, the beds were dreadful. There was four of us in the room, and one of us decided to sleep on the sleeper sofa to reduce the amount of cramped space in the beds (which were unusually small for Embassy Suites). Well, the next day when everyone woke up, we ALL had aching backs!! Then we had to stand for a long time at the Wedding Rehersal…..it wasn’t pretty folks. We were miserable. So, when we got back to the hotel, we told the people at the front desk, who were wonderfully nice, and they immediately switched us to a new room. One other complaint about the old rrom was that someone had urinated in the sofabed and caused a rusty circle on the bottom of the mattress….Gross! Well, the new room was 2 floors down and had a stinge of Body Odor, but whatever. At this point we were too exhausted to do anything about it. We slept an adequate sleep and prepared ourselves for the delicious breakfast ahead of us. The Italian man who cooked our omelette’s was very VERY nice! The swans added a nice touch to the hotel, and the children loved them.

All I would recommend to the hotel would be to GET ALL NEW BEDS AND MATTRESSES!!!!

I’m surprised this hotel isn’t #1 on TripAdvisor. These guys know how to run a hotel. I had stayed there 2 years ago and they remebered me (or their system did) and I had water and a welcome letter personally signed waiting for me.

I liked:

2. Close to DFW, shopping and resturaunts
3. When you ask for something they get on it
4. Fast check-in and out (nicewhen you’re tired or in a hurry)

People who are hung up on a view won’t like the rooms. It overlooks DFW or shopping mall.

Visitor Review:

We absolutely loved every second of our stay! After reading some of the other reviews, I wondered if we’d stayed at the same property.

We had a gorgeous non-smoking king corner suite, and it was immaculately clean. Each room had its own climate control, and we were very comfortable. The shower was hot and had a wonderful shower massage attachment. The linens were fresh and clean as was the carpet and upholstery.

We found the hotel to be quiet and relaxing in spite of the fact they were hosting a huge gala event with Dana Carvey as the entertainment. The lobby decor is beautiful and the handblown glass chandeliers and sculptures are exquisite. We saw absolutely no evidence of any carpet that needed repair, and I’m at a loss to understand what was meant by a previous review’s mention of the need for updating. This property is just barely three years old and is in excellent condition.

The complimentary cooked-to-order breakfast knocked our socks off. The pool was clean, and the hot-tub was clean and HOT! The internet cafe in the lobby served our needs perfectly, and we did not have to wait to use one of the house computers.

Every single staff member we encountered was friendly and helpful, and we truly couldn’t have asked for a better stay. We will look forward to going back to this fine property soon.

Visitor Review:

We stayed at the Embassy Suites for one night. It is a brand new hotel in a very lively area of downtown Fort Worth, close to several live theatres, movies, restaurants. The suite was lovely and very well appointed. However, the toilets seem to be very efficient but very noisy. We could hear our neighbors plumbing quite loudly from next door, upstairs, and downstairs. There are rooms on the interior of the building and I should have requested one as there was a lot of street noise but it was Saturday night. When we went to sleep, the temperature control in the bedroom did not work at all and it was too late to have someone come and look at it. I cranked up the air in the “living room” and it was comfortable enough. Also the flashing light on the fire alarm almost was like a strobe light. I spoke to the front desk about these problems and they were aware of the fire alarms but did not think that anything could be done about them. The breakfast was very nice, with made to order omlettes and many other choices We used Hilton Honors points for the room. If I had paid for it, I would have been quite upset about the problems.
