Visitor Review:

We often stay at Embassy Suites as my husband travels often for work. This hotel was nice, but compared to other Embassy’s it was not as outstanding as some. We usually stay at the Downtown Orland and it is outstanding. This hotel was not worth almost $200 a night

Anyway, about this one, The pool is small, but very nice. Always clean and has towels on the chairs waiting for you. There is also an indoor pool that is nice. The outdoor area’s hot tub is not hot at all and is about the same temp as the pool.

We picked this one over other hotels because it said they had shuttle service to Universal Parks, but they do not say that they only offer it one time in the morning, so we ended up driving. If we had known this, we would have stayed downtown as we usually do, but wanted to be able to go to the park during the day while my husband was working with the car.

There is a charge for internet use and I feel that in this day and age, that should be included in the room. Does it realy cost the hotel $10 a day per room to have internet service?

The lobby area is beautiful and kept very clean. They cleaned it rapidly after breakfast, so it was nice to go to read while they cleaned our room sometimes.

Breakfast is not as nice as the other Embassy’s, but still good. The lay out is not easy to get around while we were there, but that was during spring break and there were lots of people. Would love to have them add yogurt or something like that. The managers reception was the same. Only had one person serving LOTS of people and she got frustrated at times. But a very nice added benefit of staying at the Embassy’s.

The bathroom needed some updating as the paint on our door was chipping and the bottom of the vanity was all torn up. It is also such a small space that it was difficult to move around.

The area around the hotel is nice, so we walked around on our own and that was nice. Shopping, putt-putt, ice cream and lots of restaruants everywhere!

Not sure it was worth almost $200 a night, but maybe the rates are much better during a time other than spring Break season
