Visitor Review:

My husband had work out in San Jose so my 10 month old son and I tagged along. From the minute we arrived I was disappointed. It was a Saturday Night. About 8pm.
I can begin with my disappointments.
1. I asked for a crib and highchair to be in the room (we were arriving late and I wanted to be able to put my baby down for bed right away). I saw on their website they have these for guests. NOTHING! So we called. Were told its on the way up. We left to pick up some dinner, come back an hour later, STILL NOTHING. Called again, were told they are short staffed but someone is bringing it up. Another 30min. passes… I called… I was told they don’t have any crib or anything for us, sorry. I of course flipped out after flying for 7 hours.. holding the baby the whole time.. it was about 2am at this point for us (eastern time) so I was ANGRY! I had to hold my baby all night in the bed.
2. They charged for the internet per computer/ per room. So if my husband and I wanted to be on our laptops it was a $20. charge! Insane. We ordered it once for one day…. But was charged $20(10 each) EVERYDAY for it!
3. there were 2 Elevators out for most of our stay.
4. they gave us a room in Birthday Party Central! We were wedged in between 2 groups who were partying all night. They propped their doors open had people in and out / drinking/ being loud/ kids running everywhere. I was furious…. Seeing I was exhausted from the flight.. and having to hold my child all night.. and listen to the party going out in the hall.
5. when I finally got the bed for the baby.. it was a pack play not a “crib” like the website says… if I had known that I would have brought a pack n play sheet! Not a crib sheet that didn’t fit! UGH!! And no highchairs for the room. They said just for the restaurant. But the website does say highchairs!
6. There were 2 nasty stains on our carpet. Crusty and gross! I was angry to see it there when my child crawls all over the place.
7. Someone sketched an eagle on our wall too.
8. Cleaning service was so slow. Some days they were there at 8am. Others not until 3pm. It was irritating when I was trying to put my baby to sleep for a nap or trying to feed him lunch.. and I was booted out so they could clean.
9. the heating system was all screwed up. It was SO hot and muggy in our room the entire time. I hated it! I could never cool off the room. I opened the sliding door but had to keep the bedroom door shut so my child didn’t crawl over and fall off the balcony!
So only the bedroom I could air out.
10. The manager even told me.. it is Kid Central on the weekends. So there was nothing they could do about it. They rent out the pool and stuff for parties!
THE POSITIVE THINGS
1. When I complained we got a nights stay for free.
2. They fixed the internet charges… not sure why they charged us to begin with.
3. the breakfast was real good… I think I gained 20lbs. from it!
4. the manager’s happy hour was fantastic.. you could get what ever you wanted as much as you wanted.. and take it up to your room so you could relax.. and the bartender was THE NICEST guy. I never got his name.. but so nice.
5. the location was nice… right off of a busy street(not so nice).. but little strip malls and restaurants all around. I was able to take my son for a walk every day in the stroller & feel safe. The town hall was close by and their community Center and Library too.
6. The bed is more comfortable than mine at home.
7. Very close to San Francisco. We went up there many times. Only took about 30 min.
