The Embassy Suites Detroit - Southfield hotel is currently involved in a Multi-Million Dollar Renovation ending spring 2008. During the renovation process there is minimal inconvenience to our guests. In addition, the hotel is conveniently located to most major highways central to the fortune 500 business district, shopping and entertainment venues. The hotel is minutes from Novi, Farmington Hills, Dearborn, and Bloomfield Hills, Michigan. The hotel is 20 miles from Detroit Metropolitan Airport and Downtown Detroit.

Each suite features a spacious parlor area with a pull-out sleeper sofa, microwave, refrigerator, coffee maker and working desk with complimentary high-speed Internet access. Attached to the parlor is a separate bedroom area offering additional closet space and Suite Dreams® bedding accommodations. Visitor Review:

The first problem, it took over 20minutes to check in and there was only one guest in front of me. This occured in the afternoon while my family waited and waited in the car outside.
The second problem was the breakfast in the morning. Not a very well organized set up at all! There was an unbelievably long single line wrapped arround the room. We stood in line for 30minutes and barely made any progress. WE had to leave and go to a restaurant to eat! We have stayed at many Embassy Suites when travelling because we loved the great breakfast in the morning. This property had only 1 cook which totally stalled the line. All the scrambled eggs, bacon and other foods that are not made to order were also at the cook station. Every other ES we have stayed at had a seperate station for these items. It was an utter dissapointment. We used to brag about how wonderful the breakfast was at ES to our friends and family.
The third problem was the conditions of the sidewalks outside. That night there was a snowstorm and the walks outside were very very icy. Not very safe. It was after 10am in the morning, plenty of time to address this problem. All in all we found the staff pretty indifferent to everything. It is highly doubtful we will ever stay at this property again or chance staying at another Embassy Suite.
