The newly-opened Embassy Suites Albuquerque - Hotel & Spa is centrally located in downtown Albuquerque between the campus of the University of New Mexico (UNM) and the Albuquerque Convention Center, close to the Albuquerque International Airport. Visitor Review:

Ok…on our trip back from Tucson (3/23) and once we were sure we could make it to Albuquerque, we called to reserve a room (I am a hhonors Diamond member). They booked it right away, and upgraded our room to a city view (”upgrade”?) The inside of the hotel is beautiful…the colors are very southwest, the suites are exactly what I expect from Embassy Suites…spacious, clean, nd the staff is first rate. The managers reception and breakfast are always very good…and these were no disappointment.

Since the grille is abit pricy, we ventured out to find food at 9P…and that was a mistake. We have yet to have a positive experience in the city, but definately not the fault of the hotel (BUT the reason behind my title of this review). If you can’t take another hour and drive to Santa Fe, this is a decent place to stop over…but dont leave the property.

As another reviewer said (to paraphrase) ‘If you must stay in Albuquerque, this is a very good place to do it in.’
